Whether our work platforms or our personnel elevators, all our products are manufactured for harsh environments specific to mining (coal, potash and other minerals). We understand that safety, reliability and efficiency are key factors when transporting material or persons. Our permanent elevators and work platforms can thus be deployed on surface structures (silos and towers) and infrastructure (headframe, foundry, concentrator) or even inside the mine when drilling wells and chimneys.

Elevators Suitable for Industrial Mining Activities

By offering a variety of elevator options for temporary and permanent installations, our products meet several critical application requirements for the mining activities, including:

  • Elevators for concentrators, exterior towers and mine headframe
  • Emergency elevators when drilling wells and chimneys
  • Temporary elevators when drilling wells and chimneys
  • Permanent personnel elevators for transporting to galleries and construction sites
  • Work platforms for securing and strengthening tunnels
  • Work platforms for redevelopment and restoration of infrastructure

High-Performance Access Equipment

Mast work platforms are one of the most useful types of equipment security or drilling works that requires the use of heavy drilling equipment.

Fraco also offers temporary elevators for transporting workers and materials. Designed to minimize on-site interruptions, the SEH Series rack and pinion construction hoists and the SEP Series transport platforms are available in multiple size-capacity-speed combinations.

Permanent elevators of the SEL Series can be installed in hazardous environment with high risk of explosion. Fraco offers a variety of standard and custom cabin dimensions, with lifting capabilities from 500 lb to 7000 lb, with lifting speeds of up to 300 feet per minute.

Compliance with Mining Industry Standards

Fraco products comply with industry codes and current safety guidelines:

  • ANSI A17.1, CSA B44 et EN-81 (permanent elevators)
  • ATEX Regulation
  • ANSI A10.4; CSA Z185; EN 12159 (personnel hoists)
  • ANSI/SIA A92.10; CSA B354.12-13; EN 12158 (transport platforms)
